- Abstract
- The Murunsky gold ore node is a poorly studied object of the Aldan Shield, confined to the volcano-plutonic complex of agpaitic K-alkaline rocks of the Murun massif of Cretaceous age. More than 35 ore minerals have been diagnosed, including sulfobismuthites, sulfostannates, minerals of vanadium, germanium, thallium and tellurium, most of which have been identified here for the first time. Finds of alburnite, raguinite and jeanbandyite are the first in Russia. The multi-stage nature of the mineral formation process with the sequential formation of pre-ore (metasomatic pyritization), early productive (gold-pyritequartz and gold-polymetallic assemblages) and late productive (arsenosulvanite-fahlore, thallium, sulfobismuthite, sulfostannate and gold-silver-telluride assemblages) stages has been determined. Finely dispersed gold was observed intergrown with pyrite, chalcopyrite and melonite, and is also found in Au-Ag tellurides. Two mineral types of gold mineralization are distinguished: gold-polysulfide-quartz, mesothermal and complex gold-sulfosalttelluride, meso-epithermal.
